Has anyone recently came to US via seoul on korean airlines? Could u pls share ur experience, transit visa requirements or recommendations? Tickets seem better affordable through that route. Thanks in advance.

Transit visa was not required two years back. I don't know if the rules have been changed.

If your transit time is less than 72 hrs you do not need visa.
As for Korean Air their service is just superb !

My parents just flew from KTM-IAH on Koren Airlines few days ago. Transit was around 7 hrs- Visa was NOT required. Return ticket has 17 hrs transit, not sure if visa is required. Service was great. Only complaint was Food. We forgot to add Hindu meal on ticket so they were given seafood which they trashed after smelling. So don't forget to add Hindu meal as food preference.

Overall, good experience. My parents used KTM-IAH-SFO last year SEP-OCT 2015.They had no complains. Make sure you have valid transit visa if you want to go out for the city tour.
