permanently going back to Nepal
I naturalized as citizen here two years ago. Now, I think it was a stupid decision to do. I don't have anybody here - getting depressed and homesick. I have changed 21 states in US to see if any will fit but I am not able to adjust after seven years. Recently moved to the 22nd state but I dont think I suit anywhere in this foreign land.
I am thinking of permanently going back to Nepal. But I dont know what will be right visa to go to Nepal. Do I just use my Nepali passport and go to ktm embassy in Nepal to renunciate? or do I use Nepali tourist visa to enter? what is the right process? do I have to go to CDO again to reregister?
If I understand correctly, the new constitution allows Nepalese to hold dual citizenship.
If it is positive I would suggest to keep US as alternative land should you do not feel comfortable even in Nepal in future.
I am in Nepal since last 3 months and I feel it's really tough to survive in Nepal for the one who has been living in USA.

गैरआवासीय नेपाली नागरिकता प्रदान गर्न सकिने :
बिदेशी मुलुकको नागरिकता प्राप्त गरेको दक्षिण एसियाली क्षेत्रीय सहयोग संगठनको सदस्य राष्ट्र बाहेकको देशमा बसोबास गरेको साबिकमा बंशजको वा जन्मको आधारमा निज वा निजको बाबु वा आमा, बाजे वा बजै नेपालको नागरिक रही पछि बिदेशी मुलुकको नागरकिता प्राप्त गरेको व्यक्तिलाई संघीय कानून बमोजिम आर्थिक, सामाजिक र सांस्कृतिक अधिकार उपभोग गर्न पाउने गरी नेपालको गैरआवासीय नागरिकता प्रदान गर्न सकिनेछ।

I am feeling too disheartened to wait any longer in US since the new provision in the constitution will take some time to be implemented.
I am thinking of going back in 2-3 months before 2016 new year and never return back here.
But I am not sure how to go back and which visa/passport to take. I want to renunciate my amerikan nagarikta.

Regarding coming back to Nepal, I understand you need to have tourist visa to enter but I am not sure.
May be Nepalese embassy could help although the possibility is less than 5%
Get a 15 day tourist visa stamped on arrival at TIA. It'll cost you $25.
After 13-14 days or so, go to the immigration office at Dilli Bazaar with your mom or dad to get "relation visa stamped on your passport"
You'll require :
1. Relationship Verification Certificate
2. Copy of your parent's citizenship.
3. $5/month ($60/6 months if you want multiple-entry)
4. Copies of visa stamps on your passport (US). You can actually talk to the guy at photocopy store about this. He'll help you.

Dont give up your US document yet. It is very valuable. Living in Nepal will be tough adjustment specially if u like to drive nice car, eat good food, breathe clean air, like fast internet, like going to parks, entertainment...
Atleast if u dont like Nepal life, u can go back to USA again...
And dont ever tell them u are dual citizen.. otherwise u will be f**d
I recently came back to Nepal after living in US for about 8 years. However, I did not have citizenship or Green card of the USA. Coming back to Nepal is joyful for me and I do not have a single trace of regret of leaving US. Sure, there are differences in quality of life and yes these are vast if we look in terms of air and water quality, road conditions, population density etc. But if we take some time out of our normal life and indulge in hiking and trekking in pristine natural places, we will be thrilled to enjoy our heavenly nature. I used to visit many natural places in the USA too but the contentedness with our natural surroundings is extraordinarily enchanting. I used to drive a car in the USA and now I am using motorbike for my daily transportation. Regarding the internet use, I have no problems at all. In the USA, I used to have 110 mpbs speed and now I am using 25mpbs from the wordlink. In theoretical term, it is a huge difference in the speed but in my experience the speed difference is subtle. My suggestion for you is that first come to Nepal, try to struggle and enjoy life here. If you find that you can bear the negative aspects of living in our motherland, take bliss in this wonderland and if you do not have future ambition of worldly financial, education or career success focused on the USA, you can renounce US citizenship later even in US embassy Nepal. But at the moment, it is better just to visit Nepal and try to start your life here. Best wishes.
lol, it's funny that people are comparing Nepal and USA as Mars Vs Earth. It's in the same planet people not some alien land. Nepal is the place where you grew up and you will be most comfortable if you continue to live where you grew up. It's simple. But every person is different than another. Different people have different have different needs, expectation etc. So comparing Nepal Vs USA is comparing Apple and Orange.
I see this like everyday, people compare world's richest country to the world's poorest county. WTF !

Whats funny and where is comparison when we try to look both aspects of life in Nepal and the USA. We do not need shitty comment rather need some practical suggestions to help make our decision.
depends on hundreds of factors, like your age, education, wealth, marital status, personality (different things are more important to different people), etc.
it could be that your problem is not USA vs NEPAL, but rather you don't know what you want from life. you came to USA because you didn't like it in Nepal in the first place. Now you don't like it here, so you want to go back to Nepal. what if you don't like it there too ? where will you go then ? to a third country ?
so first try to identify the problem ? why don't you like it here (if you share the problem, sajha community might be able to help) ? when you move back to Nepal, will that problem be solved ? after you move back to Nepal, what do you plan to do for a living ? if you can answer all these questions, then go ahead.
as everybody said, the best option is to go back for a few months and then decide.
Good decision buddy. I feel the same. At first I was excited for 7 years of my life after that I starred having loneliness and depression. In Nepal I feel so comfortable wearing anything, eating anything or how I look but here i have been having problems. I finally managed to have gc and now I feel like give up. Like i said in my previous thread, money is in Nepal all you have to do is know how to pick. I feel like I lost all my young life here. Here what we have is work, money and same neighborhood and same roommates and same talks and same daily life, feels like a prison not being able to see my family, feels like confined to something.
ndup that is the meanest response i have ever seen, we are trying to leave because we want to be with our families all the time.

@Bairaghi: May be it is my introverted nature but I could not adjust in US at all. Also, my family members don't want to come to US. Now my excitement in US has disappeared. I dont know why I naturalized. I will work back in our family business like I did before when I came here. Feeling very sad to be here.

Do I have to go to the CDO karyalaya to notify? how does it work? (if I renunciate)
