Dear Sjha friends,
My company is in process of filing PERM. Could you please clarify some confusions I have.
1: Birt cert- does it have to be in Nepali & translate into Eng OR should I just get one in ENG so the I don't need to do extra step.
2: when do I need this? During I140?
3: Do we have Eng translation service at Nep embassy at DC.
ThNks a lot
Sammy
You don't need a birth certificate at perm stage. That needs to get approved first then i140( u don't need any documents) then i485 stage u need a birth certificate which is in English if in nepali get translated
Thanks for your input Microbilogy. So document does not have to be in Nepali if I can get one done in English right.

Sam, give a quick call on embassy at (202) 667-4550 during office hours. There is 50/50 chances of your call. And, where did you make your Nepalese birth certificate? I am trying to make my birth certificate, but no clue. Thanks.
Prem,
You need to contact your VDC office in Nepal to get Birth Certificate. Check out http://www.immihelp.com/birth-certificate/ for sample and instructions
You will have to get your birth certificate (stamped letter) from your VDC or Ward. You will get a letter with both Nepali and English translation on the same page these days. As this is not your original birth certificate, you will have to ask your parents/siblings to write notarized affidavit of birth letters. All of these documents are required when you are filing I-485, so it is better to start collecting them after 4-5 months of PERM filing.
I have the birth certificate typed by my wadaa office in English. Do I need to notarize or do anything or that would simply work?? Please suggest
If your birth certificate is signed by VDC officer, you do not need to notarize it. But, since this is not the real birth certificate, the attorneys will advise getting affidavit of birth from your parents/relatives (http://www.immihelp.com/birth-certificate/green-card-birth-certificate-affidavit-uncle.html). These affidavit of birth letters need to be notarized.
You need the birth certificate of all the applicants like you, your spouse and kids OR just the principle applicant?
@npli_girl,
Need birth certificate for all at the time of filing I-485.
