Leaving work right after GC
What happens if you leave your work right away getting GC
IT'S LIKE RUNNING OUTSIDE RIGHT WAY GETTING EARTHQUAKE
You won't have any job when you leave your job. That's what happens.
Just trolling.
On the side note, what is your situation ? why you want to leave your job? tell us more and we can tell you more.

It's my best friend situation. He got a better offer
As long as he maintains good relationship with the previous employer, he will have no problem.
If you friend had already decided it is a better offer then ask him/her to go for it. I don't see any problem there.
@microbiology,
There is always good opportunity after one has GC in hand. You are free, you don't have to depend on previous employer. You will get more pay, as you can directly work with top vendors and there is not layer in between.
I suggest to stick at least for the project which he is working on or wait for 4-6 months, that would be a professional way. After all, that company made you get GC, need to respect that. There are so many companies who suck all 6 yrs of H1 and then betray at the time of filing GC.
If you GC is in process or you already got it, you lucky bastard. Enjoy!
He says the company helped him but he paid all expenses (~$8000) with lawyer fees n application fees haha
@microbiology;u r as free as a bird to go anywhere after the GC gets approved. I resigned the same week my GC got approved with the employer who sponsored it for another opportunity.
faking lmao when somebody said leaving outside right after an earthquake
I suggest to work for sometime, may be a months or so to the current company before switching, but make sure that you maintain the paystubs same as defined in labor or may be higher than that. Other than that you have no problem. Congrats dude.
You can leave the employer once you get your GC.
Please don't burn the bridges with old employer/colleagues.
#Congratulations
