Speeding Ticket!

So, here is the situation. I was turning left from a stop sign. A bus was approaching from my right. I increased my speed to beat the bus which i did. Apparently, i was not aware and the downhill road fueled my speed. I immediately slow down my car to the posted speed limit but got pulled over by officer D**KH**D. According to him, i was going 36 in 25 zone(radar) and got a speeding citation (22350VC)(in California). Should I just pay the ticket and go to traffic school or plead not guilty?
If i just pay the ticket, one point will be taken out from my license and insurance premiums will increase.
If i plead not guilty, it might not be worthy because of lawyers expenses and time consuming court trials.

Has anybody been to similar situation before? Any suggestions would be great help.Thanks.

Go to court, if this is your first traffic violence, Judge usually let you go, that's means no points on license. You've to tell them, you are guilty in such circumstance .You don't need to hire lawyer for minor traffic violation. You'll see tons of people in court, with similar situation.

@Nepali_FBI , i dont agree with you. they are there to rip you off and take money ! some judge will not even listen yo you/
@ample get lawyer and give him , you dont have to go court. I dont suggest going and say that "I am guilty" , i did that once and judge without listening me gave me 3 points and 270 fine for 2 tickets !

The best way to dismiss the traffic ticket only and only if you get the ticket in your location.

Visit the court on that day. When the judge calls your name, Plea "NOT GUILTY" and say I wanna go with "TRIAL BY JUDGE". They will give you the next court date. Again, visit the court that day, again they will give you another date.

And, if that officer didn't show at first, ticket will be automatically dismissed. If he didn't show up for the next date as well, that ticket will also be automatically dismissed.

From my experience, I never had a 3rd date. Ticket was dismissed in the 2nd time.

And the rumor is : If court gives you more than 3 dates, they start losing money so they will dismiss your ticket within those period.

If you are flexible with those provided court dates, I recommend you to try this method.

Defensive driving is other option as well.

Good luck !!!

I got this speeding ticket in Irving, TX in School Zone, 30 on 20 mph.
I did the Deferred Disposition and paid the $233 fine as I was on the process of moving out of State and didn't want to travel back.
How do I check if I got the points on my license due to this violation or is it certain violations like speeding gets automatic points? Is there a way to call or check somewhere for this online without ordering the Driving record?
And the damned thing is I got a red light violation caught on camera sent on mail. Damn those Irving service roads...I made a right turn and didn't realize there was another light on small service road.
Will red light violation nullify my Deferred Disposition? Or will it not make much difference as I moved out of Texas?
