TPS Victory Parade in Major US Cities

Nepalis Associations all over the US have declared tomorrow an ethnic holiday for US based Nepali population. This is in response to a long battle in US senate to grant the favorable status of TPS for Nepalis. The TPS (Temporary Protected Status) grants legal status to all Nepalis residing in the US for 18 months whether or not they have legal status currently.

In order to celebrate this victory, Nepali Organizations all over the US are having Victory Parade in major cities in the US. Mayor of New York city Bill de Blasio has announced to close off Times Square for the TPS Victory Parade that will start at 10AM and move onto Central Park. Similarly there are Victory Parades planned in Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, San Diego, Dallas, Seattle, Houston, Denver, New Jersey, Nashua, Baltimore, Washington DC, and other major cities in the US.

The US marine choppers which had been used to transport relief materials to Nepal will bring back a truck decorated with flowers to be used during the victory parade.

There will be speeched by the following individual

Nepali Ambassador to Nepal (EST - estimated speech time: 1 hr 28 mins)
President ANA (EST - 1 hr 12 mins)
President ANMA (EST - 1 hr 2 mins)
President ANAL (EST - 1 hr 22 mins)
President GBLU (EST - 47 mins)
President ANSKA (EST - 42 mins)
President KALEYBHALU(EST - 12 mins)
President NFSS will give the concluding statement. NFSS is the new organization Nepalis For Short Speeches (EST - 1 hr 12 mins)

People attending the parade are encouraged to bring their own sunscreen lotion. Other lotions and momo provided at venue, proceeds of which will go to earthquake relief.

In other news Philipinos are organizing a counter rally against the decision of TPS designation to Nepal. According to the news Philipinos had been waiting for more than 3 years for the TPS and the severity of catastrophe and the human casualties were considered larger than those of Nepalese. Leading the rally is Manny Pacquiao. All the Nepalese are advised to wear helmets and other body armor.

The joint secretary of Home Grown Security has revealed that the reason Philippines did not get TPS is because they did not have as many online digital activists as Nepalis. Kudos to all online petitioners and phone callers.

Right after hearing about the news" Philippines are rallying against USCIS decision to grant TPS to nepal and Manny Pacquiao is leading the rally", Floyd may-weather has decided in the spur of the moment to join and to lead the counter counter rally that Nepal has decided to organize to thwart the Philippines movement. There is a possibility these two fighters could be seen again in a bout in the middle of Time square... all Nepalese people are recommended to bring a folding chair and popcorn to get more entertainment value out of this TPS bout in the making.

This is a totally fake news hai. I called the president of ANA local chapter in Dallas to see if they are organizing such अ rally here. He said, given the fact that TPS is not yet approved they have not planned anything. He also told me that it is unlikely that such a rally will be organized in Dallas given a small number of expected participants.
