Parents Visa for my Graduation
Hello Everyone
I am graduating this May after 6 years in school. My parents had applied for the B-2 visa but the were rejected.
They did not even open the file, all they asked was my name and after entering my name in the computer the person said that sorry, we cannot give you visa at the moment. My parents are well established and all the papers are legit, bank docs, income, properties, etc.
Is it possible that they got rejected because I was in school for 6 years? Even though I have been in school for 6 years, I am in good situation. I have good grades and good record.
Should they apply it again?
Anyone has had similar situation?
Do you know anyone who graduated after 5-6 years and their parents got visa for graduation?
Well, let me tell you this. My friend's cousin who came to the US in 2003, got out of status for couple of years, reinstated in 2005 and then got out of status in 2009 and reinstated in 2012 and now talking a walk in 2015 May, his parents got visa last week and coming for his graduation. It will be a grand reunite after so many years.
So, its not always the case.
On the side note, even though they didn't open the file in front of your parents, they must have already gone through all the documents submitted while your parents were waiting.
So, something is wrong either in documents or your record.

Thank You for sharing info about your friend. Well, he must be excited to see his folks after all these years. I know how it feels.
Thank You once again
You should apply your parents for one more time because i have seen many cases where people graduate in 6,7 years and still get visa.. Never loose the hope. Good luck bro!!
