H-1B Petitions for Fiscal Year 2016
Looks like they again did not increase the h1b Quota...Expected to go over 220k Applicant. Lottery is for sure. Good luck for everyone!!!
WASHINGTON – On April 1, 2015, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will begin accepting H-1B petitions subject to the fiscal year (FY) 2016 cap. U.S. businesses use the H-1B program to employ foreign workers in occupations that require highly specialized knowledge in fields such as science, engineering and computer programming.
The congressionally mandated cap on H-1B visas for FY 2016 is 65,000. The first 20,000 H-1B petitions filed for individuals with a U.S. master’s degree or higher are exempt from the 65,000 cap.
USCIS expects to receive more petitions than the H-1B cap during the first five business days of this year’s program. The agency will monitor the number of petitions received and notify the public when the H-1B cap has been met. If USCIS receives an excess of petitions during the first five business days, the agency will use a lottery system to randomly select the number of petitions required to meet the cap. USCIS will reject all unselected petitions that are subject to the cap as well as any petitions received after the cap has closed. USCIS used the lottery for the FY 2015 program last April.

Premium processing is a peace of mind. It doesn't affect whether you will be selected by the lottery or not.
H1B ko Premium Processing fee kati hola bro haru? Kehi thaaha chha? Murthy.com maa ta $1,225 lekheko chha. Is that still the same in 2015?

1225 is the correct amount, and applies to all PP. The remaining must be a filing fee that they are charging or lawyer fee - whatever they are charging for.
just FYI...you can always upgrade to PP later for all qualified application, once the application has been filed.
If you have money and resources for PP, always go for it. Just in case you receive RFE, you know way in advance rather than waiting months and you might be cutting close with expiring OPT. It gives you some time to plan alternatives just in case things went south.

One more question and I'll stop getting under your skin-- What if I pay the PP fee but do not get picked by the lottery? Do I get my money refunded by USCIS or DHS, whoever? I mean, the $1,225.
Not only you will get your PP Refund, your company will also get $2325 (whatever the fee) refund for application along with your package as well.

C..Ronaldo. I see how good fan of Man United you were the way you wrote "when CR7 was in Man U". If you know what I mean ;). You seem to me as a supporter for particular player/team who is doing good rather a fan. Fans are those who support their team/teams no matter what.

Now coming back to the point of the thread, I remember when I filled my first H1B on 2011 and the cap reached on 22 September, 2011 at the same day the cap was reached and all the applicants were accepted. Was a lucky fella !!
