Guys help is appreciated, suggest please......

Tired of living in a apartment for a long time and heard that housing market is going up. I am looking for a 3 bed, 2 bathroom house in Dallas Fort worth, Arlington area. I looked up in Zillow and saw ok house from 50k . I don't know how good is it though. I can afford 1000-1500 a month in mortgage including everything( electricity, small repair etc) , so may be maximum 100 k house, not sure.

So guys please suggest me on your experiences about any good real state and all the procedure needed to get a good deal.I even heard about FHA loan or something, not sure how it works, how much money I have to put upfront and so on. I know there is google but hey you guys are my brothers ( sisters may be) , thanks in advance .

I recommend that you consult a realtor. You don't have to pay him/her anything. If you buy a house, he/she gets a commission from the seller.

It is interesting to see houses on that price range. I haven't had even a dream to own a house soon but, after searching houses around Fort Worth on Zillow I started thinking about a house of my own. However, I'm still wondering why houses are so inexpensive in that area. Is it because of susceptibility of supercell thunderstorms, tornado etc?
It looks like it's a highly diverse demography. It shows 0.1% Nepalese in the list. Would u mind to share your experience if u live there?

Thank you nepalikancha for suggestion. I talked with one guy for pre approving loan and he is a Realtor too,so I am heading that way,
Sojoketo I envy your life style, good for you but better start looking for a house, don't you think ?
Shruti, yes housing market is cheap in Dfw area so if you can spend 1000-1500 a month for mortgage, you will get a decent house. Its a growing area with diversified demographics, safe to live in without fear of any natural calamities like you mentioned. I prefer Irving, euless, Richardson, Plano, Arlington and grapevine area.If you need big Nepali community, try for grapevine, euless,Irving .I love living in the Dfw metroplex , little hot in summer but I work inside ;-)

Wow! Those prices are very enticing. Then I went on to the site you guys mentioned and saw where I live, houses are at least $260 K - $300 K to begin with. Even those old houses pretty far away, in the meadows.

Aba kaagaj saagaj bhayo bhane ma ni Texas tirai gayera 'jibikopaarjan' garnu parlaa. :D
