If anything, we should be thankful that our weakness is being exposed. Perhaps this will urge concerned authorities to take some initiatives? Gone are the days of putting up w/ bullshit management and facilities. Our airport's a disgrace and the overall experience is literally embarrassing - from bag handlers to security, immigration authorities to shuttle services.
I don't even wanna go into pathetic state of restrooms. And the fiasco as soon as you depart the premises. The overall experience is as chaotic as shopping around in Asan during Tihar.

That's a shame for a country to have worst International airport, whose largest Industry is Tourism. And not to mention its the only International airport in the whole country.
I heard they are trying to build another International Airport in Bhairawa...hmm another Mess right near the border...

I was in Nepal this summer. TIA smells bad. Immigration officers don't even bother to look at you and smile. They are like zombies. Restrooms are horrible; don't even have something to dry my hands after I washed my hands. The whole airport smells like a toilet. Departure area is cramped with people in just one lounge. People stand in line so close to you that they will literally touch you. While departing, people will run to the shuttle bus as if the airplane will fly without them on board. Once, you get out of the airport, Kathmandu itself is a big mess with dirt and pollution everywhere.
The baggage claim is a mess. They had three carousel out of which two were broken. They just popped the number of the bad carousel to divert the crowd nepali style. Over all airport ma nepali panaa chai paayincha.
I was there two weeks ago and its the bitter truth. Everything is mess

I feel like: Go to Kathmandu for a month and do volunteering work in the airport and advise people how to stand on line without touching other person
For the airport improvement, can we do anything from our ( people from abroad) side? Like writing letters from Here ( USA) to High position holders in Nepal or anything other thing so that they will do some work to improve airport. With the airport tax money, what they are doing.........? If no sufficient money, please collect 20 dollar or so per ticker to improve the airport. We definitely need a good work in the airport. The sitting area in departure area in the TIA is definitely worse than some of the bus stations of the US.

Have we ever able to teach to be on queue for cinema hall ? How long we have been cinema hall? It is our nerve and part of culture not to follow the rules.
