Hello Sajha sathi Haru!

I need a Suggestion from you guys regarding graduating from the College. I have been here in US for nearly 1.5 years and have been working from the consultancy .I will be done with the consultancy pretty soon so I wanted to join a college.
I had finished my B.E in computer from Nepal and I wanted to continue my study for the Masters . I am a green card holder so do I get any kind of grants for my further studies. Currently I am located in California .

Any Suggestions will be Appreciated

Thanks!

I'd suggest you to find the school and look what kind of grants they give out. Many public universities have a cheaper tuition for instate (resident) student, but you have to have lived there for certain number of years. Check this requirement as well. I don't think you will get any grant because you are a green card holder.

to get a instate tuition I believe you have to be a resident for that particular state for at least a year. You should be able to qualify for grant but, It depends on your income. check out fafsa.gov. However to apply for grant you have to be accepted by a college. I think colleges in Minnesota gives instate tuition regardless of residency statues due to Minnesota Dream Act. Hope this helps.

You are eligible for instate if you have lived here for 1 year. Also, grants are competetive money for doing particular scholarly work and if you mean some college financial help it is available through financial aid office in the institution you are interested in. As you already have a bachelor's degree my suggestion would be to get financial assistantship through professors in your department of interest and if you have job experience in your area of study that helps. For this you have to apply to graduate school of interest and talk to professors (most good schools require you to have GRE for graduate study).
All the best.
