Maharishi University of Management
Hello Sajha brothers and sisters.
I am thinking of applying to Maharishi University of Management for graduate program in Computer Science. I do not know how good or bad this university is. Please share any knowledge about this university. I heard that it is easy to get placed in good companies such as microsoft, cisco, etc after you graduate from the university. How true is it? What are the positive and negative aspects of this university?
Anyone who went to MUM for graduate program????
quicksiler, I do not go to MUM but what I heard about the University is good so far. However, they have some strict code of conduct. You must do Transcendental Meditation twice daily as part of your academic discipline. Also, job in computer science is high through out the US no matter where you get your degree from. Choose what your belief system says okay to you. Don't conflict your thoughts, emotions, and life. Relax and ride this thing called 'life.' Best Wishes.
went 10 years back.
This is a good university.
Once you are done with the course, you would have sufficient knowledge on programming to get a job in IT field.
inbox me if you want more info.
But make sure you have a computer background or have a programming knowledge.

Thanks Ujl and happyhappy for reply. Will inbox you happyhappy very soon.
Any recent graduates or currently studying over there?
Graduated from MUM in 2010. I loved it mainly because of thier financial aid which is actually a loan which you will start paying only after getting a job during cpt. Bad side is in 30 months i paid almost 30k as tuition fees. Good thing was i got a job as soon as my cpt started.
I haven't heard much about this college.
Is this institution owned by Indians?
Job placement depends on your capability rather than the school you attended. If you have skills, jobs won't be hard to get at all.
Although, attending good schools can easily take you till the interview stage.
Yo University ma aajkal rarely Visa lagchha. Consular in Nepal asked one of my relatives to change the University- even though he had good scholarship amount and some kind of letter specifying Internship opportunity. He applied twice, he was bright student, all the documents were good. Consular told him about the University the second time. The internship guarantee and the job security could be the reason they are denying visa these days.
