Hi everybody,
My H1 is starting this October and my wife is going for h4 visa interview in a few days in Kathmandu.
If you guys recently went for h4 visa interview or know somebody who went for h4 visa interview, could you please share your experience or what you heard from them? It would really be helpful..
My marriage is an intercaste love marriage, and we got married in traditional way.
Thanks in advance.
tic_tac_toe, I don't have much idea about the interview process for h4 but I have heard from my friends that there's no chances of denial on h4 visa until and unless all the documents are genuine. With that being said good luck for getting reunited with your wife brother.
One of my friends did jhyaukuti in Nepal over the summer and his wife got her visa 3 weeks later. What's the significance of intercaste marriage in your query?
And also I don't think U.S Embassy would care whether it's an intercaste or a same caste marriage. As long as it's legitimate, that's what all they care about. If you're thinking that the visa chances are low just because it's an intercaste marriage than that's totally wrong bud. good luck again.
Thanks guys for your reply..
My concern is.. love marriage/intercaste marriage is still not common in Nepal.. yesko karn le, interview ma badi interrogate garera budi nervous holi ki vanne ho... so wanted to hear from guys who know someone or have been in similar situation..
Brother, U.S. is democratic country. They don't believe in caste system and as far as I think people working in the U.S. embassy in Nepal do not care about that either so don't worry about that being a reason for denial in your visa process. Tell your wife not to get nervous and be confident and don't worry a lot. Everything will be good, she will get visa and will be here soon.
Thanks again karnali blues !
You should be just fine. H1b packet your employer filed for you, marriage registration certificate, recent paystubs, wedding photos should be enough. Good luck,
