सरनार्थी पछि पासपोर्ट renew
Friends,
I recently got my Green Card through Asylum. Now will there be any problem if i renew my passport through DC embassy? will they ask for my current immigration status? I heard India is not giving visas on travel documents now. I really need to travel to india. your generous and honest suggestions would be really appreciated.
Man we are some screwed up citizens asking screwed up questions. And when a leader does something wrong we are the first one to blame it on them. I think we have lost our right to criticize our leaders since we keep doing these things.
Kiddo, for your comment, now someone will come and blame you that अरुले गरिखाएको सहन सकेन, अरुको खुट्टा तान्ने बानि कहिले गएन and blah blah. Really our society as a whole is corrupted. We only blame our leaders but forget that they too come from our society. I'm really ashamed when I see people asking question about fake asylum process.

You will not have any problem to renew the passport through dc embassy. Check their website and follow the process. The process is same for all nepalese nationals whether they are gc holders (regardless of how they got their gc) or are in other immigration status. If you are traveling outside of US, it is better to have your passport renewed. Thanks.

While I understand the desperation of few people, I still cannot find a justification to say it is normal. It is an act of fraud against this nation as well as Nepal IMO.
Neither do I have the time to argue with these negative comments nor do I have the energy to justify my legitimacy but all I say is do not reach a premature conclusion based on some wild assumptions you come up with. What makes you think that my asylum case was not bona fide? Besides, ensure your hands are clean before you start pointing fingers at others. Peace!

USg, I don't blame you for your response. People like I are criticizing your action and we don't even know your circumstances. But to make a generic statement, I still condemn it, specially for those cases where people make asylum and 2 months later want to go back home under Nepali passport.
We like bashing nepali politicians; but it seems corruption is deeply rooted in nepalese society and some might do worse. There might be a time when the big brother start digging those fake assylees cases.
I am eager to find one genuine candidate for genuine asylum, from Nepal . Does those whose family got killed in rukum have ability to visit U.S and file asylum .
Students who came proving they can pay thousands of dolor are victim who need asylum . Make me laugh @ US regulator and Judge.
But it's matter of time, when they start to revisit all those case, my fellow country men will start getting nightmare for years.

efg, kudos. You called it right!! Look, they are saying exactly what you said they will say.
I bet they say the same thing when they hear a leader accepting bribe or people like Pawan Karki stealing money from Nepalese. Why bother? Live and Let Live, don't punish the culprit; eh?
