DO NOT use Muncha house to transfer money
Just wanted to share my experience with munchahouse.
If muncha house's owner is reading this, you just lost your customer.

I used to use moneytonepal.com, never had problem. For some reason they are offline.
Today was my first transaction with munchahouse.com.
- Got a call from customer service, Pradeep (refuse to give me his last name or rep id#) to verify my bank information and personal information.
- His questions
- How long I have been living in US?
- What's my annual income?
- My answer: How are these questions relevant verifying my account? I am not applying for a credit card. I am transferring my money from my Checkin account to Nepal.
- There was a mistake on my DOB ( I made that mistake it while filling out registration form). I told him I cannot fix it from my side. Can he take care of it? He said "No I need to call customer service." But I am taking to customer service.
- Whole conversation was a nightmare. It's like muncha house was doing me a favor.
- Finally I told him to cancel my transaction. Instead of working with me, his attitude waslike " I don't give a F**K."
That's all I have to say
I had exactly same issue few weeks ago. Verifying your account is really painful too. To verify my account they always called me during my work when I can't answer my phone. They don't leave voicemessage either, so there is no way to know it was them who called.. I never answer a toll-free/corporate type phone number. Also, you CAN'T call them back to verify your account. I requested that they call me during the period I can answer, during my work breaks or after work but they always called me in the freaking same time. It took me over 2 weeks just to verify my account.
And somehow my date of birth was incorrect too, I don't know why you can't change your DOB on profile yourself, since you are the one who puts the DOB while registering on the website.
Yup. I had a similar suituation as well few months back. And then, I left using muncha.com. My username and password doesn't match at all and when I tried to request for a new password using security question. It says incorrect as well. So, I was freaking out a little bit at that time. And, I used thamel.com and I find it more friendly and easier. Apart from that, it gives higher rate compare to others as well.

My situation was pretty much similar to that of ramromanchey. They used to call me in the day time and I could not pick the phone. Then I realized that if I miss the call then they sent me an email reminding me of the call. I reply them back regarding my situation and ask them to call during the certain duration of time. They says OK also. Then they call me again at the daytime. This went again and again for more than a week. I ask them to cancel the transaction and that happened so quick.
Stupid Muncha!

I wish MoneytoNepal is back to service..this MunchaService is just a piece of crap..they are expensive,slow in repsonse, and takes forever to deposit the money into Recipipent account.

these nepali companies in the US think they are doing business in Nepal and treat their customers as if they are doing a favor!!! this has to stop! boycott these types of establishments!
Pay your bank $35 wore transfer fee and transfer you money in NRB rate, not a paisa less.
I transffered $xxxx.xx to my nepal account and it was awesome experience, that too on the day the exchange rate had reached $96.95. I got that rate.
Why go for these racist companies?

i'd experience with muncha when i sent a gift last year. i'd sent a gift but they delivered similar product from the same company which had less features and whose price was less than the item i sent.
they did not bother to inform me about the changes they made on their side and did not even refund me the difference. i came to know about this "bait and switch" scheme when i asked my uncle the name and model number of the item he had gotten. the manufacturer were the same but the model was different and cheaper.
after confronting muncha, they gave me options for partial refund, or deliver SIMILAR product or WAIT for the exact model as they did not have those in stock. I chose to wait for the exact model and took about 3 weeks to get the product that I had ordered. In total it took 5 WEEKS from the day of order!!!
advice to fellow : check the manufacturer and the model number and verify with your people in Nepal. Muncha likes to "bait and switch"

I have been using Muncha.com and never had any issue.
I was also able to reset my password once without much difficulty.
The only issue I have with them is that even though they proclaim that after the first time, the turn around time will be 2 days that has never been true.
Also I have never verified exactly how much money they are depositing in Nepal. I need to verify that.
First I wanted to do a direct wire transfer from BOFA to KIST Bank (not in Kathamdu) but I was not able to do that. I think we can do direct wire transfer only to the main headquarters in Kathmandu.
MAKE SURE YOU VERIFY THE AMOUNT WITH YOUR PEOPLE IN NEPAL. nepali business are infamous for cheating customers and muncha is no exception from my personal experience!
Same thing happened with me..sent saree to mom..she got really cheap grade saree compared to what was shown in site
Sent kurta kapda to gf..they delivered the defected one that was torn ..and replaced it with a cheap one with no refund to me..
Sent money through them while they were giving good rate, my account got locked and getting password was a nightmare..so second transaction they say would take 2 business days or in june the deal was just 1 day turnaround time..and it took 7-8 days..No professionalism at all with this business.......i would give them 2 stars out of 5

I am using them for long time. the only i dont like is they are Freaking Slow to deliver money !!!

used to use moneytonepal back 5-6 years ago then switched to mucha rece4ctly like 1-2 years ago, and then used Banks direct wire transfer....
I never had any big issues withy anyone ...off course small issues...
But recently went walmart and used moneygram and i think is the best..
only around 13 $ charge and their exchange rate was much better than muncha, close to NRB.
and ur family will get money in 5 mins.....
Offcourse dont send too much money at same time, otherwise u will have to go through lots of paperwork. less than 1000 is OK.
