I saw Kantipur International Open Education offers GED course in Nepal. It is for my sister, she couldnot pass 11 class for 2nd time. She just gave exam for 11 and that's her last chance to pass. The result not before mangshir, if she is unable to pass the test, she had to start over again. Therefore,  I was looking for the options. I found, one could give GED from Nepal, and it is even accepted by Tribhuvan University. That give me a lot of hope about her future. But I don't know how hard is it to pass GED. How long will it take to prepare for it? And has anyone done it from Nepal?

Thanks for your suggestion. I am thinking of doing the same. She will startover with the easier subject and she is prepared for it.
But I just wanted to see if there are people who took GED and give me some suggestion how does it work? It doesn't hurt to look for other options.

just let her start over again, if GED is ok then nobody would have taken 2 years course, clz wants 12years education not, 10.5 years, the first and last option is to start over again, i am strongly suggesting on it because i was on yours sister position few years back and i have analyzed or done all the research.

I have been helping students get their GED in Nepal since 2012. My first student is graduating university in America this year. He has no SLC and never went to +2. The GED is a great option. Most Nepalese get confused about GED. They think it is a short cut but it isn't. The exams prove a student is ready to go to university/college. I have talked to the universities in Kathmandu that accept GED and they agreed that the GED students perform as good as +2 students. This is why they accept GED. They are not looking for a certain number of years. They are looking for good students. 97% of universities in America accept GED students. GED students have become doctors, lawyers, politicians and even judges. The GED has just been updated again so even more universities will likely accept it. There are so many GED success stories.

Most student do not know what is their field of interest  and we guardian not only choose subject for them but force them. Let's not use the word "easy subject" because only  interest makes subjects easy.
One of my nephews was interested in computer; he used to claim that he can hack email. But he was forced to take biology to be a doctor. This is the dilemma, he failed in couple subject. Who is responsible, the boy or the Guardian?

I have been the guardian of several Nepalese youths and understand how hard it is to help them find a direction. If they fall we pick them up. If they get lost we find them. We do our best and that is all we can do. We can't put blame, we just correct the course and find the best way to our goals. I believe in hard work and not taking the easy way out of a difficult situation. This is why I teach GED. It helps put someone back on the path to success. American GED Center Nepal

Whatever happens but I strongly recommend don't leave high school! If he/she fails; repeat them by giving easy subject to read..but, never get into the courses like GED. It will never equals high school diploma.
