Ma Bihe gardaichhu nepal gayera 3 mahina pachi. Ticket kasari milaune samasya paryo. Aile ma round trip kinera ani nepal ma bihe gare pachi swasni lai same flight ko ticket milauna milcha hola?? Ki yeta bata one way ticket liyera ani bihe garepachi hami dubbai lai return ticket lida thik huncha? Ma H1b maa chu ahile. Sujhab salla ko lagi muri muri dhanyabad.

Ani arko prashna chai ... bihe vaisakey pachi interview ma k k document lana parcha hola? Bihe ko photo haru, Marriage certificate, ani aru kei?? Ma H1b Visa ma chhu aile!

Cathay Pacific has very cheap rates from Nepal. Try to get a cathay round trip for you and then get a one way ticket for your wife for the same flight from Nepal. My sister got the ticket for 800 one way.

आफ्नै लागिराख्या भिसा नवीकरण गर्न त झन्डै १ महिना लग्छ, बुढीलाई काखी च्याप्न त लग्छ ब्रो टन्नै. ३-४ महिना नै नेपाल बस्ने गरि जान लाग्या भए मात्र सगै ल्याउन पाउलाउ, त्यो पनि भाग्य एकदमै दह्रो छ भने मात्र. नत्र चाही मन को लड्डु घिउ संग खानु मात्र होला है.

Maile euta kura vanna chuttyaechu .. ma H1B ma chu aile.

GC holder/Citizen lai ta time lagcha tara H1b holder lai ta tyeti garo hudaina vanne suneko thye.

Maile paila pani H1B visa apply garera stamp halisakeko chu Nepal bata, aile job change vayekole feri halnu parcha tarA maile Visa paauchu vanne confidence cha. Tara Srimati ko lagi H4 VISA lai k hune ho. Tyesko lagi tapai haru ko sallah ra sujabh ko khacho cha, tapai haru ko experience/suggestion haru share garnu hola.

@Jantaree and facebook---Sorry if you're green card holder but if you have H1, i have seen people getting married and bringing their wife in 15 days !

H4 dependent visa shouldn't be a problem and it can be issued on the same day.

bihe_gardaichu, I understand what you're asking but not all these people understand that.

You can go ahead and buy two way tickets that cheaper for you, I am sure once you get your wife's visa stamped, you can buy ticket on the same flight..Don't worry you'll get it !

US returnee is right in this case. Worst case may be you ending up paying few more dollars; I think you'll get to come back in the same flight.

I will comment on visa process.

I went to Nepal last year to get married. It was also time to renew my H1-B visa. From the USA I took all my papers for H1-B and also a letter from my manager to US Embassy requesting a derivative H4 visa for my spouse. I think its not required but I got this letter from my manager even before I got married just in case. For the visa interview for my wife and myself, I took the following:

1. All H1-B documents given to me by my lawyer.

2. Employment verification letter.

3. Pay stubs of few months

4. Tax return of previous year

5. English Translation of Marriage certificate

6. Bank statement to prove that I can bear financial responsibility for my wife

7. Wedding photos - I just took it without knowing and the consular did ask me to show the pictures.

8. Letter requesting derivative H4 visa from manager

Interview was together and took 4/5 minutes. Visa was approved for both of us. I collected it next day.

Some questions I could remember:

1. How did you guys meet?

2. Is it arrange marriage?

3. How long have you guys known each other?

4. Can you show me wedding pictures?

@ mad bro: the guys is in complete different situation than you're sharing your experience for. You're a USC and were sponsoring for a GC for your spouse that would normally take 8-10 months for people overseas. This bro is on H1B visa and is sponsoring for a dependent H4 visa for his wife - if he has all the docs available, his wife might be issued an H4 dependent visa right after their marriage, the next day or whatever - no wait period required.

How about a Naturalized US citizen, what is the process of brining wife to the US, how long does it take? doesn't anyone have any good informatino?

Sajhaguy69, it takes abt 1 year for a naturalized citizen's spouse to get to the US. Abt 3-5 yrs for a GC holder's and 2-3 weeks for H1 holder's.
