guys don't try to put something heavy on top to lower the pressure on a pressure-cooker, it might explore. BE CAREFUL.

Yes, It is not a good idea to put something heavy on top, because there is lots of pressure inside. So if the water vaoer cant escape it may finally explode the pressure cooker. I was facing the same preoblem of nois. Then I found presssure cooker from Teafl in  Sears which uses less energy , cookes in less time and less noise. Mass ko daal 25 minutes ma pakchha, maasu 25 minutes ma, aaru daal 15 minutes ma. Time setting garna milcha. etc etc.

yes I bought it  from  local Sears store somewhere in Maryland. It was 2 years back.

looks like now they dont have. You might wanna check local sears or JC penny  or other stores selling cookwares. I found one electric pressure cooker in JC Penny online . But I dont know anyhting else about it. When you buy cookware  nonstick is not healthier small scratch in teflon (nonstick material) will add teflon into food. If teflon manages to get into blood stream there is no way you can take it out.It will creat lots of health problem. So I prefer stainless steel rice cooker, stainless steel pressure cooker etc.

Sauté, brown and simmer in one pot with the stylish and multifunctional Emeril stainless steel pressure cooker by T-Fal®.
