Nationality is bound by a paper like a marriage is. But many marriages do not work out and divorce is the best option. I think the same with my Nepali Citizenship. Help me be a free man. I am tired and sick and hopeless of things being screwed up in Nepal. Everytime I read a news, there is something that kills me. And it is because of the attachment to the country I had, something I had dreamt for.
Many marriages come to an end for the best for both. I want to end this legal relationship with Nepal. I don't want any other citizenship. I need time to think before getting into another relationship. How can I not be a Nepali citizen. I am tired of one corner of my heart burning for good wishes and rationale mind for the people there, but it's not happening and I am hurt. I want a citizenship divorce.

Any rational ideas that would help me?

Interesting topic
Best solution for Divorce is "Never get married". However, in your case it doesnt apply.
Other available option for nationality divorce would be (not only specific to you but in general to all Nepalease):
  1. Put your own effort to save the nationality-divorce. DOnt just put your lazy a$$ down and complaint.
  2. Temporary Separation - let the time flows and see the changes on the nation. If it comes back in the track get together. This option should go hand-in-hand with option1 though.

Nationality is not a marriage bro its a parenthood and you cant change your parents although they are bad.
Today mother nepal must be crying that one of her son is thinking to break relationship with her!
Des ko praisthiti raajniti durdasa le garda mero dimaag ma ni kaile kahi testai aaucha, tara man le mandaina. Din ma 10 patak nepal ko khabar napadi khayeko pachdaina.
Testo bichar le ajha poldo raicha jaba hamilai thaha hubcha hami nepal gayera kei garna sakchau bhanera tara jana sakdainau. Sab ko aafno aafno bahyata cha. Sab lai aafno kartabya le rokeko huncha.
Aas garam hamro des maa chadai kei ramro hos

You are such a panzy mother F.... How long have you been abroad? Imagine that you never boarded that plane away from Nepal. I know you would probably have  still complained, but would you have guts to say something like "give up your citizenship" coz you are simply tired of bad things happening there. Grow up son. As much as it sounds cliche, it is still true, "nothing is perfect, you gotta make it one". Who am I Talking to? Forget it.
Because you are in a better phase doesnt mean, that you can just blurt out stuffs. These are emotional matters, this is my country you are talking bad about, so be careful. Keep your feeling towards yourself. And you are a free man when you are dead. So you know what to do.

Dude, file an asylum and stay here as a slave. Nobody gonna say you a word. Motherland is ready to excuse you. She gave you birth, gave you conscience and make you a man so rest is up to you. Dont come and bitch here about her. She is still our mother and will be our mother.

handyman- political seige is one promiseland hard to orchestrate or achieve. would be great.

Duderino bhai, dherai thulo kura garyau....

kati jana le true contribute gari rakheko chha nepal ko lagi, besides remittance(from all over, and its not for the country, but their own selfish lives/family). reality k ho?
There are millions of Nepali in Nepal and abroad. no-one really wants to sacrifice their life for nepal, at least not in an smart way; barely a handful. Not everyone is destined to be a politician/leader. truth are most of the population is the folower in the street, screaming out loud once in a while and that's it. Truth is bitter.

How many Nepali in foreign land is ready to suddenly leave what they are doing, for the sake of building knowledge, and infrastructure for Nepal and create a real change? They boast of being smart, globally learned and seen. But everyone wants a secure exit starategy. It's easy to talk, think or dream. But thinkers, dreamers and philosophers are barely doers. (that almost like politicians already in Nepal.)

Nepal is my motherland and nepali my mothertongue. I absolutely love the country an traditional cultures and food. I am not complaining about that at all, You too much smart shaja ppl. I am complaining about the legal system, [Disallowed String for - bad word]ing slow courts, muscle power, bullshit leadership, voilence and kidnapping that immobilized my 15 years of supposedly best years in life. And it doesnot seem to be getting any better. Many people lived through the similar experience and newer generations are going through a similar experience. I am complaining of the system that tires me. I am complaining to being associated with the [Disallowed String for - bad word]ed up system..... and hardly anyone so called smart one that defend out here are doing anything substantial.

analogy, Having awesome business idea is barely good. Doing the business successfully is da shit. doers don't show off by talking, they do. so thank you, but do it.

I will keep trak of this thread. cuss me, I will give... zero [Disallowed String for - bad word]s. But I will applaud if I get to hear your stories of doing big stuffs for Nepal in improving the whole system. And I will salute if you execute your leadeship in motivating others to do similar big leaps. I am a usual person on the street. If I see enough conviction and performance from you, I might follow. Don't talk, complain or cuss. Gandhi never cussed. Show us all what you are by doing what you talk.

I too get so disgusted when reading news from Nepal.  One hardly hears anything good.  So, I have stopped reading any newspaper (online) from Nepal.  But I still love the country.

I guess the trick is to separate the negatives from positives.  You yourself said you like the culture, food, etc.  Well, focus on those.  Leave the rest.  And don't give a rat's a$$ to those who talk big.

Immigrants are immigrants no matter what top level position you achieve in foreign land. You don't get respect from most whites They say if you want to live here, live like americans, don't bring your countries culture here.  And they are jealous that you achieve american dream in 10 years while it took them 20 or 30 years.

One white american told me on my face ( not personally to me) but to all immigrants some bad stuff. Also one lawyer who lives in a million dollar house in a rich neighborhood told his neighbour don't like them. White neighbor even backbite about that  lawyer to their common gardnener.

Just my toonie

For genrerations poor and low castes were discriminated and they do not know the simple thing like manner, discipline, respect etc. Unless the micro-bus driver learn the importance of lanes and traffic rules, others in the road are definitely going to suffer............................... People need to change not the government............................... I realize this when I recently visited Biratnagar. Recently EU constructed a very beautiful eye hospital in Brt (about 7 months ago). Whole construction is European style. But unfortunately, all the walls are already painted with paan. People do not hesistate to spit in such a clean and new place. You can see people lying everywhere in the ground. It looked very beautiful from outside but inside its a same dirty place like any other in Nepal.

Even if the chor netas, by acciddent, constructed something beautiful in Nepal, most of the nepali will never learn to appreciate its value.

It is going to take few generations of educated Nepali people to change the nation.

Jai Nepal.
