221g for H4(dependent)

Hi All,
I'm in H1 throug a desi consultancy. My wife went for h4 stamping in Kathmandu but she got 221g. They didn't ask any documents though.
Do you guys have any idea about this??
How long will it take or any process I need to follow??

Can you also elaborate what documents you submitted to the embassy? Also, do you have stamping already on your h1b or not?

My wife also get 221g last year 2011. no additional docs were asked. They verified from US( I think from USCIS) about my H1 status. It will take some time. My wife gets H4 visa in 2 months. it is just matter of time.so just wait and watch.

I have my h1b stamped and I am planning to get married. But my soon to be wife got rejected twice for student visa in us. Will she have any problem while stamping for h4 visa ?? How long does it normally take to get visa ? I am planning to get married n bring her with me within 3 weeks.

My H1b is not stamped.
I submiteed following documents:
1)I797, LCA, I129.
2) Bank Statements.
3) Employment letters.
4) Marriage Pictures and Marriage Certificate.

depends upon the counseller too, if he/she is hard bend to reject they gonna reject her at any cost otherwise no prob at all

Recenty, my wife got H4 visa stamped. Her F1 was rejected twice when she was single.
It is one of the easiest visa. Never heard any rejection. Good Luck Guys and girls.

@damauali: Can you list all the reqd .docs for H4 visa that you submitted? I need to do stamping for my wife coming december.

These are the list of doc my wife put in her file:

1. Letter from me (I wrote a letter to US embassy stating that she is my wife and please issue H4 visa for her )
2. Employment verification letter from company (I asked my company to verify my employment and asked to mention my wife name in there and I can support her living here in US)
3. I 797 - both pages (copy)
4. Document package from the Lawyer (this inlude LCA / I129, whatever it has)
5. Marriage Certificate (govt)
6. Wedding Invitation cards - Both sides if you have any
7. Pay-stubs - couple of recent one
8. Bank Balance and transaction (This is just supporting doc. I had 13K)
9. copy of my Passport Pages (pages which have information about me and my visa)
10 ID cards copy (license / company id card )

**I also asked my wife to put her diploma and couple of certificates she achieved

@Shreshtap After the interview, they called her next day to pick up the passport.
@prsthapit The photo album is in the list. Its good to have marriage pics.

@bijayadh, All the curious you have is for your H1 stamping.
As long as you have H1 approval and you can prove that you are legally marriage, she will get the visa.
Make sure you prepare your wife for the interview with all the information about you like where do you work, your cleint/employer, what is your job, where did you graduate from/major...eveything.
Since you are consultant, if you can, ask them to make one letter with your employment verification.
