Sajhaites in dc !!!!!! attention okie we are having sajha gathering in third weekend of june so i would really appreciate if u all can jus give ya names here(nick is very fine) so we can have estimate of ppl and decide where we gona do it well if we could get as much names by this weekend it would be great then depending on number of ppl we will disclose the place we look forward to happy gathering ne prblems contact admin not me ehheehe rock on dudes and obviuously fine gals r always welcome ah one very important point gurls can sure bring their frens guy will think abt it laterz folks ah plz reply to this thread alllt he folks frm dc and if u have any suggestions were it will be better for gathering feel free to let us know thnx |

due to arising questions who qualify for this gathering here is the qualification to be part of this gathering ne neplaese can join and have fun it's not strictly for sajha chatter or ppl who write here in sajha thread and there is no dress code no age limit it;s jus a way we have come up with to know our own ppl and if u have ne frens may be bf/gf who r not nepali and r planning for date on tht day do bring them too let them see we are nepalese we have big heart for everyone so jus come on in everyone;s invited kale gore chote more everyone jus one thing have fun!!!! |

Looks like I am going to miss the sajha party by a whisker, if it is slated for the third weekend of June. Never mind. Does anybody know of any big or small music acts performing in DC area or in the adjoining states between June 24-July 2, 2004? I just need to unload my head when I get there. |

aight people. IF we want to go to shenandoah then we will go there. But its about 2 hrs drive from DC, and little bit more for people who live in MD! Here is the info Park's open ALL YEAR. Entrance fee for a vehicle is $10, and entrance fee for an individual is $5 The activites can be anything from biking to fishing to hunting to horseback riding! of course you gotta pay for some of those, but for fishing, all you need is a lisence and a fishing rod, and oh yeah, some live baits. Okay kids, listen up! The title says ýparty in DCý. Not party in ýout of nowhere in virginiaý. Whose ridiculous idea is that? Please stand up! The two hours you spend going to shenondhoa valley, get on the line, pay 10 bucks to get in, you might as well drive to NY and join one of their parties. It takes all the fun out of the ýjamghatý. Last time I was there, the friggin place had a traffic jam. It ain't quite Nagarkot, you know. So, like the great sajha Washingtonians that we are, let's keep the party in or around the beltway, so that more of us can join us, shall we? How about Rock Creek Park? Not many people know it has some great picnic spots. If any of you have taken a joy ride from Rock Creek to Bethesda via River Rd, then you would know, right in the heart of DC, lies some of the spectacularly beautiful recreation spots. Besides Rock Creek, other places I elect are Potomac Park, that too in DC, and Great Falls park, somewhere in MD or VAýnot exactly sure. |

badmash well it;s mah idea to have sajha gathering and ah i think i decided to go to tht park ,well i dnno if u r following the thread or not but before we decided to go there or even have a picnic i did ask for suggestions wht will be better a in house party or picnic or ne thing like and all i got response was for the picnic at tht place and i dun;t think it;s still late i mean if we can come up with some ting better it;s always good and personnaly i would love to have in house party or smthn like tht but the probs is we don;t have place basically every one is sharing apts or live with family , i know we do have lot of cicades other option is we can push back the date coz cicades r gonna be gone after couple weeks from now and let;s do smthn so every once can have fun and enjoy and i would really appreciate ne suggestions from u guys and gurls and let;s come up with some thing which would be comfortable for everyone but if we gonna go on 19 th we need to know who all r goin by 10 june at the most so we can organise it , let;s have some fun in dc!!!! |

Chica de Nepal, I don't know how long cicadas are scheduled to be around. However, in the past couple of days, I have witnessed more dead ones than the living ones. That tells me their extravaganza is almost over. In about a week or two, all they will have left are their eggs underneath the surface that won't hatch for another 17 years. How old will you be then? Dallipokchi, You are almost right. Nepali guys can't dance WHEN THEY ARE SOBER. But when they are drunk, they can knock the roof off! Salsa, flamenco, mirengue, you name i,, all in mixed flavor with nepali 'jhilke dance'. And for the very reason to save them from embarrassment, I have offered to supply them with all they can drink proposition. Mr. Nice guy, Nice guy you may be, but what the heck were you thinking? I def agree bout keepin it in DC part. Now if ya'll wanna hab a dance party we could rent a community hall for the nite.. only prob is the cost. but if u split it say 40 ways then the cost wont be that much either... coz i asked someone and i think they told me somewhere along the lines of 150 for couple hrs... badmash, easy said then done!!! when were asking where u all want to do how and when all u were doin was reading and now when we came up with something u don;t like it still it;s fine okie u say keep it simple keep it near , that's what we all also want a fun party and that's easy said why don;t u try naming couple of places and so far we don;t even know how many ppls r gonna be atleast if we could know that we can take a community hall we can prolly find the cost and see how much it ends up to be per person well was jus a idea to have sajha gathering with all sajhaites if nones interested, we sitll gonna have jus that may be not everyone coz u can ask everyone but i am so sure whatever we come up with someone will be there to go against it so all we can do is compromise and do smething that is beter for everyone u can;t please everyone at same one time so if u all can pour in ya ideas and we can all see our selves where majority want;s to do and go from there but the main thing is we need to cooperate obiouvly everyone;s idea not going to be same . so if u all can come up with some ideas and most of all we need to know number of person whtever it be picnic, inhouse party nething unless we don;t know how many ppl gonna be there it;snot tht easy , well let;s hear from u all and let;s co operate and have a fun party , even before we know where we goin we start a fight here itself i know we are nepalis and thts kinda in out blood let;s have fun now!!!!!! sajha rocks on! |

Mr. Nice guy, First of all, how old are you? I had no idea I was talking to an adolescent. You first need to ask your mommy if you can have a day/night off for the gathering. BUT If you are old enough, then learn how to write. Your writing is really 'uncool' and worse, its beyond my comprehension. I think you broke the record for longest sentence written in sajha. The HOLIDAY INN sound like a good idea- kan u also make sure if we can take the metro to the Holiday INN..some of us dont have cars! If not holiday in- it can be around DC as long as the train or the bus goes there! For the DJ- if we dont want to pay that much..maybe some1 can bring a good soundsyster..and the rest of us can burn good dance cd CDs? I mean I have to techno-style song.. and few nepali songs (danceable)! What do you think you guys? We are planning to have a in house party or may be reserve a comm. hall , well chica i understand about the transport, well once we decide the place we gonna work that out, coz there are other people to who needs ride, so let us know people where u are and who all need ride we will have some arrangement done. we are looking at some places right not rest assured will be withing beltway and we are looking around $90 to $130 for a night. thats pretty much wht we are coming up with now if u guys got any suggestion please let us know and ah once everything;s decided we do need every one working on something coz everyone will be busy on studies and work so if we split the work it will be much better , we are gonna finalise it by this saturday everyone;s invited , to come or not to come it;s all up to , but when u come in let;s make sure we have some fun sajha rocks!!!1 |

ook..seems like ppl stopped posting any replies to this uhhh post.. therez not much to say now i kno..but still need to whoz bringin wat..herez the list so far.. Me, Aisha, gaunle, crazy person, and shaq= CHIKEn..n lots of them..i think.. marinated n eerythin Ratodhunga and HEY HYE: Umm hotdogs n buns, drinks Now we need ppl to bring in: Chips n dips, Pasta salad or ne salads for the vegetarians, watermelon (coz duh its gooodddd), (paper plates, cups, napkins, fork/knives/spoons)<---- they go together, anndddddd jus throw in w/e u wanna bring.. oops forgot wut adwity was gonna bring..but jus post up wut u CAN or WANT to bring ... dat way we dont end up with 100 dogs and no drinks...ya kno.. so START POSTING!! cool |
