So the festival of Teej concluded yesterday. But it went totally unnoticed and uncelebrated on Sajha land. I wonder why.

1. Too sexist and chauvinistic a festival for modern times?

2. Just serves a narrow interest of minority "upper-caste" Hindu females, in a multi-religious, multi-ethnic nation?

3. Too depressing a time (9/11 as well as massacres in Buddha's Lumbini zone of all places) for festivities?

------

I, for one, wish men had a similar festival -- where you fast, dress up in Navy (as opposed to their Red), and pray for a "good wife" if you didn't have one -- and hoped for her long life if you had.

Gender equality, anyone? :)
suna Posted on 12-Sep-02 07:50 AM

HEHE!
call me the murga but yes, your posting was tempting. Very very tempting.

1. Too sexist and chauvinistic for modern times?
YES YES YES

2. Just serves a narrow inter....nation?
YES!! But if it is the tradition of the upper caste hindu females, they should keep up with it. Although, I think its quickly becoming "lets show off our clothes and gar gahana event". All I hear is Teej ko lagi yo kinney, tyo kinney. Whats all that????

Like you, I wish there was something that men did for us! Am still waiting for one learned person to introduce something new to our society. It takes just ONE MAN to come up with an idea. ANY TAKERS?? MEN???
sally Posted on 12-Sep-02 08:47 AM

Personally I think of Teej as one of those clever inventions of women to circumvent male pride to their own ends.

As in, "Gee dear--I mean, O God Whose Footwater I Drink Daily--it's Teej, I think I'll go to my mom's house and hang out with my friends and dance for a couple days, so how about YOU doing all the work for a change? Oh and by the way, it's pretty far, so I'll be gone at least a week. It's all for your benefit, though. Reeeeeeally." Hehehe boys.

Or as in, "Oh my oh my, it's that time of month again. Guess I can't do any work for a while. Your turn to take over, O Clean One Whose Home I Would Just Oh-So-Hate to Defile. I mean, I just LOVE cooking and cleaning for you, but ke garne? I have to rest. It's for YOUR benefit." Hehehe again.

I know that my husband learned to cook because of those monthly little episodes of whoops-I-can't-come-into-the-kitchen.

So, let's hear it for Teej!!!

###

On a serious note, though, maybe we didn't hear about it cuz, well, who mostly writes on Sajha? Or because it was awfully hard to escape the thought that there'd be a lot of women who wore red and danced at last year's Teej and prayed for their husband's long life, and are now in white and asking why ...

I hope there will be many happier Teejs to come.
NK Posted on 12-Sep-02 09:56 AM

Kay teej, kay panchami. kay gaijatra, kay dashain ani kay tihar. these are all just blurr. A cousin of mine calls from NJ and asks if ate 'karkalo' today. I ask her what 'karkalo'? I had forgotten you eat that green on this day.

Don't wanna be a revisionist, of course especially when it serves my purpose. I will be when it does not. Teej is a wonderful chad. All the women get together, dance, have "women's jokes"( i hear) and have a blast. Eat a lot of parikar the previous morning and be merry. Hang out with relatives and friends. And don' t forget Pashupati Nath all to yourself. No lecherous men around to grab your butt or what not.
The award is a bit disgusting though at the end of the day: To drink khuttako pani. Yuk!! Of course I will celebrate this Teej if there were plenty of enthusiastic women around. Not on a convenient Satruday though. That takes all the fun away. That is why I don't celebrate 'Dashain'. If I have to wait for a week to go for some Christmas like atomosphere for a 'Tika' , I might as well celebrate Christmas. Which I do.

If men want to celebrate something like teej and do barta wearing a blue suit, all power to them. But, I think our happiness and fun should not co-dependendent on men's whim.
Paschim Posted on 12-Sep-02 10:05 AM

This is unfair...really unfair...three happily married women bulldozing an unhappy bachelor with all those bullets :)

Thanks Sally, Suna, NK -- a delight to hear from all of you on this!
suna Posted on 12-Sep-02 10:09 AM

NK: You don't celebrate dasain??
It wasn't very clear as to why you don't, could you please elaborate?

Not being a very religious person myself (I prefer to call myself spiritual), I don't get into the religious aspects of dasain, but I think its a great time to show the children this wonderful ceremony of being blessed by someone older than you. I interpret tika as being a ceremony where we respect the wise old people and get blessed by them. Something a lot of young people and old in this culture could learn.
Just like Christmas, its a time for the family to get together, people spending hours to cook to feed the family.

I fail to see your "Chrismas-like atmosphere for a tika" analogy.

koko Posted on 12-Sep-02 10:41 AM

I do not think that this a a sexist group of people. The best description of this site if I had to define it would be Anarchy. People are doing and saying wahtever they want without consequences. And in the pile of 9-5, what is teej, what is gaijatra, somestimes we even forget what day, or what month it is...The old proverb,"When in Rome do as the Romans do." fits perfect here. If the domiciliary you reside in does not echo the same tradition then there is no way to keep track of what day or festival it is. I know when thanks giving, christams, memorialday, laborday etc. etc. These effect our daily lives and we pay attention. The ones in Nepal it does not affect our daily lives hence no attention.

2. Just serves a narrow interest of minority "upper-caste" Hindu females, in a multi-religious, multi-ethnic nation?
Most Nepali women celebrate any festival to parade their wealth. Women in general are never happy with what they have. So they are constantly in this race to outdo the others in their circle. For people who cannot even afford to pay for a meal.. what is teej and waht is dasain.. it does not make a difference. they would just be happy to get a decent meal anywhere.
NK Posted on 12-Sep-02 11:14 AM

I will try to be less cryptic. Key garney bani na ho.

Suna, all I meant was what I see around me many a times. Dashain was on 10th. We have a party on the 17th in some hall to "celebrate" Dashain. With confetti and all that zazz. We all get decked up in our "Sunday Best" and some in torn Jeans (but, of course!) and have pahhhty. There might be somebody to put 'Tika' on your forhead and some announcement at the same time to tell what is going on. *That* was what I meant. Celebration like Dashain has a special meaning for me. When it comes to celebrate these 'chad' 'Parba' I am fatalistically anal about it. To tell y ou the truth, in past 12 years, I have tika thapo maybe four times or maybe 5 and one of them was in Nepal.

That was all what I wanted to say. Perhaps it is more clearer now.

and koko i share your sentiment and agree with you for the most part of your posting on this.

It can have a negative connotation while being a perfect motivator for some.

Teej is our festival and even though in US,I celebrated this festive the way I like. This is my 2nd teej after i got married.I didn't wear all rato luga and hariyo chadke tilahari, but I wore simple kurta, which I wear twice in a year, once in teej and once in dashain.I prayed to god for the blessings of my family and husband as usual in the morning and had milk.I had fruits in my lunch.During evening i prayed to god and had fruits again. Thus I celebrated teej.I didn't feel like having any other foods.Maybe sanskriti my mom passed on me(but my mom back home goes on complete fasting).I don't feel any less than any man,i mean i don't feel inferior than any man if I take barta on this teej.I know where I stand.I AM PROUD TO BE A WOMAN.I'm happy to be a Nepali woman.I wish there were some festive like teej for men too.Anyway,I celebrated teej in my own way,it didn't remain uncelebrated!

Logical Sense Posted on 12-Sep-02 05:10 PM

Teej, Ah when I see those radiant faces....happy to pray for the husband, I feel like Paschim why don't we have a 'Taaj' for Thithas.....Until there is something to counter, it is not a bad idea to fast along with your wife......

Question of Priority my dear :-)

Part of the world I am in we celebrate Teej or Dasain with same interest as we do X-Mas or Hanukah (where is this mystry place?). If there is no holiday all we have to do is take the day off (paid or unpaid does not matter - question of priority)

Part of the community I am involved in I have some friends who will fast along with their wives during Teej or Karwa chowth (such a noble idea, wives love the idea...) ...

and Bideshi I agree with you, there is no reason to drink Khutta ko Pani, and this should not be any excuse to not to celebrate Teej.

Sometimes I feel we may be doing too much - can you imagine we celebrate almost all year? So many times gifts exchanging - but I thnk it is worth, we have a solid community.....And I won't trade for anything....
anepalikt Posted on 12-Sep-02 05:59 PM

Sally

I really would like to think that Teej is one of those acts of resistance and a celebration of being female. Maybe it is. It not being part of my particular culture, I never participated myself and can't speak from experinece. Friends and neighbors would invite us, but I never joined in. Never could do without food :) and never really wanted to wear red and twirl around decked out in pote and faria (or kurta). I so think it is a great time for women to get together and celebrate and be together, but I also saw plenty of "whose got the biggest tilari" thing going too, so I am sceptical of the whole thing.

And kutta ko Pani! Man, that is gross. Especially in Nepal as dusty as it gets! I agree let's do away with all that kutta dogne, kutta ko pani khane stuff. Men, you all need to be the first ones to start! If you want to fast with your wives, great. But even before that, you have to stop that kutta stuff when you get married.

And about that time of the month, same thing. Often women, especially in poor rural families, DONT get to rest. It simply means they do all the harder chores outside the house and eat crappy food and be treated like a pariah dogs. In parts of the west, women even have to sleep in these horrible shacks awy from the house! I hardly think THAT was invented by women. Maybe middle and upper class women get to enjoy some time off, but even so. Even coming from an educated and "progressive" family, my own experince is that the whole thing was extremely embarassing and humniliating, not in my own home, but in the homes of relatives' who were conservative.

I did love Swasthani and read the book every year and fancied that Shiva ji would come from Kailash with nandi and bhringi and smoke a pipe for me.:)

So, teej has come and gone unnoticed, unclebrated eh! This is what happens when one is far away from home. Festivals like these make me utterly homesick! Teej reminds me of the excitement that it generated back home especially among women and children. Although we never celebrated at home, I always looked forward to observing it on the streets watching women in groups in every nook of the town with their madals singing and dancing to their own tunes such as “teeja ko rahara aayo bari lai ”. The sight of women clad in bright saris and adorned with beautiful jewels like pote, tillhari, and those bangles that chimed so well while they clapped their hands that they didn’t need any musical instruments was an absolute delight. I remember once taking an American friend to watch the fun and one of the dancing women asked us to join them. I was a bit shy so was reluctant but once Karen started I too joined them and we absolutely loved it.

It was nice to read different perspectives of different people on this thread. It’s true that every time we hear about “Teej” we think about the “mouth watering food” the “dances and songs” and all the gaieties of the festival like the “fasting for husbands or future husbands”. I personally don’t believe in “finding good husbands through fasting” however I do respect those who do. (I was teasing my mom the other day when the topic of teej came up, that maybe the reason why dad left her is because she didn’t “fast” for him during Teej, a bit of dark humor there) and I don’t mind drinking “khutta ko pani” as long as they’re washed with antibacterial soap…juuust kiddddiiiing!!! Yea that’s perhaps one thing that I’d refrain from doing. Nevertheless, Teej is a wonderful festival that I’ve heard so much about through my friends.

Women definitely deserve a festival like Teej (thanks to whoever introduced it or made it a national holiday) that brings immense joy and laughter to their lives and makes them forget about their pain and sorrow while sharing special bonds with each other. It is also a time of relaxation, a break from their daily chores (but boy with all the cooking they have to do, do they ever get to relax at all? I wish men were more involved in that part) More importantly, it is a festival that highlights the true essence of a woman.
SITARA Posted on 14-Sep-02 07:54 PM

I was reading you here and there. While editing Nepal Vision, Pradhumna told me its you, K chha? Good job, keep it up, nice thoughts. You are just great...
HahooGuru Posted on 16-Sep-02 10:14 AM

Digital: says he knows Paschim. No other clue. Digital is neither a registered
name, can Paschim guess who is Digital? Well, I guess so. If thats just an
enough information required for Paschim to identify who is Digital, then,
Bayesian will be very happy, because Pradhyumna and Paschim have
intersection with a guy whose nick name is digital. ...

Well, for us, it too 8 months to get all information to know who is confidential
PAschim. Bayesian approach helped me to confine Paschim to make only one
most possible candidate. .... Digital alone is impossible for normal Sajhapurian
to guess who could be Digital? Well, I am not asking you identify yourself,

Logical Sense Posted on 16-Sep-02 02:54 PM

Guruji, Yesso Hernu Paryo Kya?

Digital has left enough DIGITAL SIGNATURE for Paschimji to pickup.

Here it goes:

He calls him 'Paschim', not Paschimji, not Dear Paschim, but Paschim. That means the set of people which Paschim has to look is merely his school friends (Nagautiya Yaar Kya - description ali non-vegetarian huncha - bhaigayo!), that leaves the pack of 446 people Paschimji knows.

Then he says 'I was reading you here and there', that means he keeps following Paschimji in Cyberspace, now the people who follows him in the cyber space is exactly 1000, but intersection of these sets make a new set of 226 people.

Now the next point is 'While editing Nepal Vision', this new set includes all the editors of Nepal Vision and they are exactly 11 (including assistants), so the intersection of this set with the other sets yields only 6.

Next point is a killer 'Pradhumna told me its you'. This almost give away the digital signature but sad thing is Paschimji really does not know which Pradumna it is and even name is not familiar, so the intersection of sets remain at 6.

Next clue is ' K chha?', Aha not many of his highschool mets mix English and Nepali, which remains at about 40% and intersection of this sets yields 4 people.

Now 'Good job, keep it up, nice thoughts.', who repeats same admiring opinion many times? Only 10 people he knows and this eliminates 1 from the pack of 4.

Now, when Paschimji analyses the three left one is very nice happily married lady, so she goes out of the window. Now out of two one is a pretty girl who Paschimji still does not know that she has a crush on him ( :-) ) or the smart guy from High School who always out smarted him ( ;( )?

Then he ponders with the last clue 'You are just great...', hmmm who could be??????

WOW, I got it, it has to be Durga Nath Deshpande (JK)...... He is the only one returned from US and he is amont 5 of my friends who always puts three dots after great...But the intersection yields single person

Paschim Posted on 16-Sep-02 09:20 PM

Thanks to Teej, we're now moving on to *really bright* topics in this thread -- from Logical Sense's and HG's great exercise in the "process of elimination", to friends hitting on Sitara-ji, to the yet to be explained scientific phenomenon of the "Arnico Effect" :)

But let me just dwell on the first one. Many thanks to LS-ji and Gurubar for their help in identifying the mysterious Digital. I have absolutely no idea who Digital-ji is. Absolutely none. But he drops two real clues: i) he knows Pradhumna, ii) they edit Nepal Vision. Clue number 1 is hopeless because although Pradhumna is a close friend of mine, he is also a highly admired Nepali engineer in Houston. So, the entire city knows him. The second clue is more useful because not many people volunteer on that Nepali publication from Houston. So, I could possibly figure out Digital by asking Pradhumna.

But the catch is, P has been missing in action (from my inbox) for the last 2 months. Of course, it was prem-related, and he vanished with a note: "bujhish thita, budesh kaal ma love paryo, mutu ta chhiya chhiya hune rahechha" :)

So I think I won't bother him till his wedding day in Nepal which I hope to attend later this year. Usko agenda bihe, mero agenda arkai! Digital will have to remain almost mysterious until then, although I sincerely thank him for his warm remarks.

Btw, Gurubar, if you know Gorkha well enough to talk about Shakti High School and Maskey's Bisauni, I'm sure you also know "Chaubis Kothi" in the old town. P represents that established household which also gave the great Ganeshman-ji his most graceful kanchhi buhari.
HahooGuru Posted on 16-Sep-02 09:58 PM

Paschim wrote: 24kothi....

..
I have to copy your words "Pradhumna is known to every in Houston", and
I guess everyone in (within educated mass) know 24kothi in Gandaki Anchal
and Chitwan to NawalParasi Districts. .... In a recent party with a Nepali couple, I have even surprised that "la bharatpur ko 24kothi tole ... chowk " ke. I lost my all information in vain. 24 kothi is getting bigger in biz and naming places ... Well, I know Laxman Babu'S (who is on front line in 24kothi talk show biz.) most pyaro Nephew .. Milan. I lost contact after I completed my interemediate studies and headed for undergraduate studies in UOR (now IIT) ... Well, I will have to find him including other buddies when I visit your office in Gorkha Bazzar (in Mayor's ) in the days to come. .. Interesting thing to me was, all Gorkhali I know were advocate of Ne Bee Sangh, or vice versa, I knew them because they advocate NBS in student life. ..... Hey Paschim, if you wish I can even join fund collection campaign for your election and also for votes ... heheheh. joking. I can introduce the guys in front line ... you know I completed my SLC in 2036, it make a lot of sense in politics of Nepal. That 2036 created a new set politicians and leaders in UML to NBS, including Maoists. Pampha Bhusal also graduated from same year as I did... Wow, I remember she imposed a rule to wear Cotton ko sari to all college girls, giving up skirts and pants ... Lets a have chat on your election campaign as time comes. If you need I can deliver HahooPrabachan to suit the section of voters who like HahooPrabachan ...

BTW, there were two brothers who were very active in NC politics from ...Bari.
How are they doing? They are also relatives of 24kothi and .. Kaji Maskey family. What happened to Kattel Danda ka Kattel, they seems to be off the NC Politics. I rarely hear their name.

Do you know? in the past, there were three schools very famous in Gandaki Anchal. One, of course Luitel: Amar Jyoti, BRB's school. Well, some of my classmate went to Amar Jyoti to get better position in SLC, and I came to know that they got demotion as requirement to enter the school. (Thats why Amar Jyoti schools usually, had 2 to 3 years older than normal age students. Such trend still exist in Nepal's leading private schools too Class jharne. Secret of success. Well, if I go now attend Primary school, I am surely going to score highest score... Budho manche le talako class ma rakher school ko ijjat badhaune ghatiya method ko birodh garou. I am dammn against this trend.).

Well, there was antoher school in Bandipur. Bandipur ko high school. Those who could not clear slc exam for 5years or 10years ro 19years.... used to transfer their SLC centers to Bandipur or Shakti High School for slc exams. ... Well, there used to be joke that someone who was appearing for SLC from those centers did not even know how to write "t": the code used by CHEAT CHORAUNE SATHI from outside the exam room told following line: "GHOCHO GADERA SATO BADH", (kidds tranlation: put a horizontal bar on puright stick). Well, at that time, Bandipur Jau, SLC pass gara, was the motto of Exempted peoples....
So, during SLC exam, in Bandipur and Gorkha Bazzar, it was said that its SLC Chit Choraune festival.... I am not sure how is the situation in these years... But, Most interesting thing with those chit choraune and chorne guys was like three blind peoples visiting Zoo to understand how is Elephant.... So, some of them had worst intersection: Question le mageko answer, chit choraune le lekhe ko answer, and examinee le chit bata sareko answer ....
.... ... I wonder whether Shakti High School is still famous for Chit Chorne and Choraune stuffs....

I am very glad reading these postings because Maskey 'khalaks' of Gorakha bazar are my Mawalis.

It is Jaubari, Present(now already dissolved) district chairman of Gorakha, Chet Man Shrestha is also from Jaubari(elected from NC)

Sheetal Kaji Maskey(my mama also) was a chairman of Gorakhkali VDC(before it was declared as a Prithvi Narayan Nagarpalika) and Megh Bahadur Maskey was member of DDC, Gorakha.

>>What happened to Kattel Danda ka Kattel??

Central member of dissolved CPN(ML), Rishi kattel is now with CP Mainali, samyojak of ....bivagh.

bishwoshwer kattel is a mayor of prithvi narayan nagarpalika(jjjuust some time before)

chudamani kattel(deputy chief of drabya shah multiple campus) is a advisor of CPN(Maoist), surrendered recently. His taaukako mol was also Rs. 25 Lakh..hehe

I think only Navaraj Kattel, who haas been teaching in Balmiki Vidhyapith nowadays is associated with NC among kattels of kattel danda.

It seems that I can also help a lot for Pashchim's election campaign:) i) My mawali Maskey families are not few in Gorakha Bazar ii) dedicated member of NBS in school days, not to say about friends there :p

>>I wonder whether Shakti High School is still famous for Chit Chorne and Choraune stuffs

I also heard that in the past that CHIT CHORAUNE ABHIYAN was in rampant condition before but these days I do not heard so much.

Maoist Leader BRB's SLC exam centre was also Shakti High School in 2026(25?) BS.

(My SLC center was not in Shakti High School), for more personnel talk, thru email: manashalu@hotmail.com

No other clues. Let them cofine it. The way Digital was confined to one person
by LogicalSense. . .. . I am sure he will not need more clues "the dude
who went to UOR, India for engineering". If he can not identify, just keep silence.

Paschim, Megh Bahadur Dai was (I guess it was him) Chairperson of Gorkha
Uudhyog Sangh (when I got a tel call from him last time),
and without GUS (not ghus), no one can be Mayor @ PN NP.
So, Ananta --manashalu-- (Hey, Mana, I replied to your email, Quietly. Halla

HahooGuru Posted on 17-Sep-02 06:34 PM

Nepe,

Hehehe... Were we sailing in the same boat? Do you know Mo:mo Shrestha?
I think the Sheetal Kaji Maskey : is same whom you know. Because Sheetal, Kaji
Maskey and Gorkha Bazzar all can have intersection with only one person. Well,
even "Sheetal Maskey" after dropping out "Kaji" from Gorkha Bazzar is again
sampled, the same person "Sheetal Maskey" will be sorted out to match your
"studied B.Sc. too" information. Its a great Bayesian Approach .

(Sorry to disappoint Ashu using Bayesian Approach in more than 3 threads.
Well, I am hanging with this Bayesian Approach for last one month: 16hours a day.
Still its confusing to me. My use is not a Gayaetri Mantra Syndrome, i.e. we know
the 36(?) characters, but, never explained what are the things inside Gayetri
Mantra. At least to majority of peoples who chant it every morning. I am tryig to
get SEMANTIC to mathematical interpretations.. Trying to make some no non-sense
use (claim garya ni), to become perfect...........?).

And don’t worry about the great Bayesian Approach. It has not been over-used yet. Tyes maathi yastari bhakaa bhak result aauna thaaleko chha, kasari tyaagne ?

So the Bayesian Approach narrows down Sheetal to our Sheetal. But how to confirm it ? If you are in contact with him, please ask him if he had a kalaakaar friend during his B.Sc.

That brings me to another friend of mine. Do you know Kedar Nath Ghimire from Pokhara who is now in Japan shortly finishing his doctoral degree ?

observing Posted on 18-Sep-02 03:39 PM

From what I have seen, women like Pashchim and respond to him because he is consistently nice and curteous. He knows how to diagree without being rude, demeaning or sexist. He seems to convey that he appreciates women of all sorts... the budhis to the tarunis, the smarter ones to the well, the smart ones (no one feels stupid because he does not seem to try to lord it over anyone) -and he seems to appreciate women as individuals. He seems to know how to flirt without being lecherous. He has many interests and seems to be worldly, urbane and well travelled. And he seems to be available without seeming desperate!

And most importantly, it does not seem to be a "trick"! He seems genuine! The real deal!

Curious guy, hope that helps you.
Paschim Posted on 18-Sep-02 08:33 PM

Curious-ji and Observing-ji, thanks for your kind remarks, but let's go back to Gita (the epic Gita, not the woman!) and settle for what it says: life is an illusion. So all you are seeing here on Sajha could all be illusionary!

Sitara, you'll help me find that path, won't you ? :)

As for identity and location, Guru-ji's theory has already taken me to the periphery of the University of Maryland. Some people better start worrying!
HahooGuru Posted on 19-Sep-02 01:01 AM

Paschim: Guru-ji's theory ....

----
Who are Guru ji:

1. One who teaches others findings are called "Guru" ji. So, Paschim
I was not delivering a new theory here. Not at all. Just making an
interpretation, and explaining there where and how to use. Well,
Sitara even recoed. me to cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwing
cheeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwing garera gum chapaune i.e.
offer intelligence silence to the audiene as long as $ keeps on vibrating....
(Since I am HahooGuru, no one here hardly understands what I am talking
and I do home my HFC President at least understands it.... hehheheh...)

2. Well, Definition in (1) on Guru, is very widely used in Nepal. The Drivers
are called Guru ji in Nepal as well as India. Well, I woke at early morning and
drive my car NISSAN SUNNY EX SALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON.
7to 8 minutes in morning and in evening another 7-8minutes. So, I am
Guru inside my car tooo, at least those OKIYAKO SAMA inside my car.

3. In Java and Perl websites, too, I find the word Guru used so frequently....
Well, I am sad, I am still student out there....

4. In Sajhapur, I am HG for last 8 months. I am not the classical definition
of Guru who explains the Gita or Gayetri Mantra, but, I drive HahooCar
in Sajhapur. All those Okiyakosan, Conductors to Khalasi, all of them should
(I used SHOULD ) call me GURU. Heheheh....

GURU = DRIVER = GURU ... Guru is one who drives something made / created
by others. Interpretation = is also a kind of drive.

But, Over Janne "OJ" Peoples will try to extrapolated "screw driver" also as a GURU.
I fully object such misinterpretations.... Anyway, welcome to all kinda KATOji.

HG

PS: KATOji : Kathmandu's Over Janne Intellectuals.

Sitara: 1. You have not only "flattened" me but also "floored" me!!! Your theories do work.................. Sometimes!!! ;)

I thought, I was "flat"tened and floored, but, you found yourself too.... I am sad
and later happy too. Hey, what did I do to "floor" your??????????????????

pran jana kastha pani hune chhaina. .....)...............

Sitara: 2. So what did you do with the cheeeeewing gum???? swallow or spit it? or just stuck it in someone else's mouth? :P

Sitara timile ke sochya chou malai tyasto to cheeeeewing cheeeeewing garya gum
pani aruko stuck it in someone else's mouth ......... Dhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhat, tyasto
pani sochnu ......... I just tried to swallow it, but, could not swallow it, and
its lying on rear of my Buddhi Bangaro..... Still not decided to swallow or spit it.
Well, if you offer a new chewing gum, I will probably swallow it with chocolate.

Do you know, you should not have chewing gum inside your mouth when you
got chocolate, chocolate will get mixed with Chewing gum and Chewing gum
will vanish from your mouth. Be careful if its costly chewing gum. ..... Don't
offer chewing gum and chocolate together .... If you don't believe it, just
try chewing gum + chocolate together. ... Well, its not bad for your stomach.

Yeah, when you don't want to swallow gum alone, Chocolate might be
a nice thing that helps you swallow very easily. Specially, if you were on
RNAC ko plane and forgot to spit it before landing at Singapore, and don't
know what to do? Scared of punishment, then, you buy swiss chocolate
or Nabiko is also OK and jhat pat chapau with Chewing gum.........Wow
safa chat. No fine, in the country of fine. . . ......

So, please, supply me a delicious Swiss chocolate, if you wish me to swallow
the earlier Chewing Gum, that is hiding in my mouth.... and if you feel uneasy
with my KAWAI SO (PITY) sthiti.....

Paschim ji, knows what I am refering to...when I say "paranoa"!!!!!!! Has nothing to do with my postings nor with you!

Ok......I'm confused as can be!!!! WHAT PROFANITY??????????? and why SAN????

I was referring to the phonics of "G" or "ga" which can also be translated to "J" or "ja"...or "J" as "h" and one of the biggest confusions that come along with pronunciation, is with the word "Jesus" "Geesus" or "Hesus" (phonetically pronounced in spanish); this word is used cross culturally but pronounced differently!

Since you insist on going "GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" everytime I posted, I took it up.

As for PARANOID, I suppose, you are what you see!!!

BUT, if you have somehow managed to misconstrue what I have said, well...what can I say???????????

Hatteri -- kina yesto hunchha sandhai?!

I can clearly see with my chaar chaar wota aankha (4 eyes) that there is a gross misunderstanding here, and as a fan of HG and an admirer of Sitara, please allow me to step in.

Gurudev, Sitara's comments were absolutely harmless...all that reference to paranoia, etc. was borrowed from another (private) context. I can guarantee that she meant no harm. And Sitara, you were seen to be "teaching" our respected HG a lesson in pronounciation -- I know it was clearly done in jest and with no offence intended, but looks like HG took it that way. I can understand and sympathise why.

Please!!! I humbly request Gurudev and Sitara to believe me that this was just a complete mis-understanding of intentions. Take my word for it -- let's assume it's been cleared; and let's move on to our past moments of great chemistry, fun and pleasure!

Kasto majaa aai rathyo yaar...bekaar ma.
